  1. Wow this is awesome! Now I won't ever have to visit the hospital nor smell that nasty disinfectant odor EVER!

  2. @Hadiza5647: Lol! Sorry to burst your bubbles but this online clinic does not replace the good old fashioned clinic. It has limitations because nothing beats seeing a patient live. There are a lot of clues that would be picked up just by sighting the patient. However, Dokinta would offer you the best medical consultation given the circumstances and limitations of the online consultation.

  7. @Jessica: Hi Jessica, I appreciate you courage. Well first, there are a few things you need to know. Not every case of itching in the private part is due to an infection. It could be due to allergies, irritation by new or substandard underwear, creams or even soaps. So if you take a whole carton of antibiotics and what you have is an allergy to your cream or underwear, you wouldn't get any better. So you have to be careful before you conclude.
Also, taking antibiotics blindly (without a test) may not be of any help too. It is only when you are sure it is an infection (after conducting a number of specific lab tests) that you should actually take antibiotics and the particular antibiotics you would take is determined by the results of the lab tests.
In addition, if indeed it is confirmed tat it is an infection, you and your partner(s) MUST get tested and treated at the same time and both parties must abstain from sex with each other ( or other partners if applicable). This is because if one person alone is treated, the other partner serves as a reservoir for infection and would reinfect the treated partner. This would give you the false impression that the treatment is not working.
In summary, get tested, along with your partner(s) and treated if the results indicate a need to do so.
However there are some readily available drugs you can get to soothe the discomfort but do not take antibiotics before the test specimens are collected cos it could alter the result and give a false impression that you are negative. For more questions feel free to post them here or send an email to dokinta@gmail.com
I hope you find this helpful

  10. Dear Doc, how do I manage insomnia? I find it difficult sleeping. I wake up by 5.30am to prep for work and don't gt home till 7pm earliest. Its expected I should be able to sleep but I can't. I'm wondering if its because I have a lot in mind? But sometimes my mind n thoughts are blank and I find my eyes wide open till 4am still yet 5.30 am I'm up for work. Why?

Hi, nice of you to drop by to discuss this. It's good you provided the above description, however, to offer you the best advice, I would require additional information. Your age, sex and occupation are important factors to be considered. Also, do you have any history of any of the following illnesses: Hypertension, depression or mood disturbance, recent emotional or traumatic stress, anxiety, use of medications like sleeping pills, caffeine, hormonal medications (female contraceptive pills) or any recent medications prior to the onset of the insomnia. Furthermore, have you noticed and additional symptoms at all?

do you end up sleeping during the day
